  2. Halo sir,In November 1909, Virendranath chathopadyaya edited the short-lived but virulent nationalist periodical Talvar,in Berlin (‘The Sword’).Talwar was also the name of a ship during the navel mutiny of 1946.

  3. You said it was Mr.Virendranath chathopadyaya edited the short-lived but virulent nationalist periodical Talwar,in Berlin (‘The Sword’).
    Do U have this periodical?
Secondly, one direct English meaning of Talwar is sword.
But Talwar Dynasty was taken up, when Colonial's were asking all SINGH's (Lion) to have some different sir name to identify the tribe, during Raja Ranjit Singh army days. From where TALWAR title came up. U may like to read my blog, if U look for my profile in Google search engine, and then see, few of my blogs pertaining to Talwar Family.
Talwar ship name, I know, but does not gives historically why Talwar surname was adopted, what I know I wrote, I was keen for any written documentation to prove my point.
I was keen to know all about Talwar's and that's why I requested U on your blog.
    Arun Talwar
