Tak on Globalisation

 Dear Sir/ Madam,
Globalization refers to the integration of economics and societies all over the world. It involves technological, economic, political, and cultural exchanges made possible largely by advances in communication, transportation, and infrastructure.

Globalization is a historical process involving a fundamental shift or transformation in the spatial scale of human social organization that links distant communities and expands the reach of power relations across regions and continents. The advantages and disadvantages of globalization have been heavily scrutinized and debated in recent years. Proponents of globalization say that it helps developing nations "catch up" to industrialized nations much faster through increased employment and technological advances.
Critics of globalization say that it weakens national sovereignty and allows rich nations to ship domestic jobs overseas where labor is much cheaper. The point here is that globalization has had positive and negative effects and hence a nuanced and deep approach is needed when discussing the concept.
To address the phenomenon of Globalization and its impact on global community including India, the Department of History, KAHM Unity Women's College, Manjeri is conducting a one day Invited Lecture on "History, Evolution and Current Scenario of Globalization" at the college Auditorium on 25th July 2013. The students and staff of the department cordially invite you to attend the lecture and make it success.
Thanking you With warm regards
