Dear Mr. Shabeer,
Now,
I have got confirmed information that on 11th or 13th July, 2012, the train no.
22609 / 10 Mangalore - Palakkad Intercity express will be extended to
Coimbatore jn.
It
is happy to note that you are taking steps in this regard. Even in Coimbatore,
there is a separate place where in the year 1921 few of the martyrs of the
"Wagon Tragedy' incident were buried.
A
request is being made by Kerala Cultural Forum and few other organizations
based in Coimbatore to name the train 22609 / 10 as MALABAR KRANTI EXPRESS.
I
kindly request you to speed up the matters and inform the VIP's in Malabar
& Kerala. The no. of MLA of Mannarkkad, Mr.
Shamsudeen is ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,.
I
have spoken with Mr.Shamsudeen many times and he said that he would take steps
from his side. I request you to contact Mr. Shamsudeen reg. this and you can
refer my name ( Ravi from Coimbatore)
REMEMBER, THIS IS A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY AND MALABAR PEOPLE MUST TAKE
ADVANTAGE IN HONOURING THE MARTYRS OF WAGON TRAGEDY INCIDENT.

Thank you Shabeer Mon for that immediate reply of yours !!
Since, 11th July 2012 is the day ( proposed) for extending that train to Coimbatore, I thought of informing you so that you can take immediate steps.
As of now, Podanur jn is not given a halt. But, they may give a halt at PODANUR jn so that this train stops both at TIRUR and PODANUR jn which both where mute witness to this sorrowful event.
Advance Congratulations !!
