Rifa Rahmath Memorial Freeship

 In loving memory of Rifa Rahmath, BA History student: Batch 2023-26, the Department of History humbly dedicates the Rifa Rahmath Memorial Freeship, a scholarship honouring her memory, and inspiring a spirit of learning among students. This freeship is open to all BA History students who demonstrate academic dedication, integrity, and a commitment to fostering empathy and collaboration.



Condolence Meeting

 The Department of History and the Students Union, KAHM Unity Women's College organised a condolence meeting on 31 January 2025 at 11:20 am in the CH Seminar Hall to grieve the unexpected demise of Rifa Rahmath, 4th semester BA History student. The Principal presided over the gathering, where students and staff shared their memories and expressed their profound grief. The meeting was a sincere homage to the departed.

The second phase of the "LeadHership Campaign," a joint initiative by Mathrubhumi and Malabar Gold and Diamonds, concluded at KAHM Unity Women's College, Manjeri, on Wednesday, 29th January 2025. The event, focused on empowering women and addressing their challenges, featured a panel discussion titled "HerStory Unfolds," where four successful women shared their inspiring journeys of overcoming obstacles.

The Department of History, KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, organized a study trip for Sixth Semester BA History students to Agra, Delhi, and Manali. The trip, which took place from January 14 to January 23, 2025, was designed to provide students with a firsthand experience of India’s historical and cultural landmarks. 

Session on " Importance of Communication Skills "

 The History Association, Department of History, organized a talk on "Communication Skills" on January 23, 2025, featuring Dr. Shahinamol, Head of the PG Department of English. In her insightful presentation, Dr. Shahinamol emphasized the vital role of effective communication and proficiency in the English language for both personal and professional success. The students found the session particularly valuable, recognizing the importance of these skills in shaping their future careers. Munjya, the Association Secretary, welcomed the gathering and the vote of thanks was delivered by Laila, second year student. The programme was attended by first and second year History students.
