Zollverein

Zollverein,was a German customs union established in 1834 under Prussian leadership.

It created a free-trade area throughout much of Germany and is often seen as an important step in German reunification.

Ems Dispatch 
The Ems Dispatch ,sometimes called the Ems Telegram, caused France to declare the  Franco-Prussian War in July 1870.
The actual dispatch was an internal message from the Prussian King's vacationing site to Bismarck in Berlin, reporting demands made by the French ambassador.
 It was Bismarck's released statement to the press that became known asEms Dispatch.
The name referred to Bad Ems, a resort spa east of Koblenz on the Lahn river, then situated in Hesse-Nassau, a new possession of Prussia.

● The credit for founding the Indian National Congress in 1885 goes to an English officer, Allen Octavian Hume.
● The first Conference of the Indian National Congress was held at Gokuldas Tejpal Sanskrit College, Bombay under the chairmanship of W. C. Banerjee.
● Bal Gangadhar Tilak started Ganesh Mahotsav in 1893 and Shivaji Samaroh in 1895.

● On Nov. 1913, the Ghadar Party was founded at Sanfransisco city of America by the great revolutionary of Punjab named Lala Hardayal.

● Muazzam occupied the Mughal throne as Bahadur Shah after his success in the war of succession.
● Muazzam, the son of Aurangzeb was called as the ‘Shah Bekhabar’.

Arikamedu is situated on the bank of river Virampattinam,3 KM south of Pondicherry of India.
The items excavated from this site proved that there were regular contacts between ancient India and Rome.
Most of the remains dates back to Arretine Ware;dates back to A.D. 200.Those were excavated including warehouse,building.Sir Mortimer Wheeler excavated this site in 1945.
Arikameda became the place of maritime commerce.It was become an important port,exporting textile,glass, gems,shell bangles were exported.
