Intercollegiate History Fest

                                                      As part of the ENYO’19 (Intercollegiate History Fest) History Association 2018-19 of Korambayil Ahamed Haji Memorial Unity Women’s College Manjeri organized various events at Unity on Tuesday (06-03-2019). The Fest was inaugurated by Dr. P P Abdul Razak (Dean of Social Sciences, University of Calicut & Head, research Department of History, PSMO College Tirurangadi). College Manager Engineer O. Abdul Ali, Dr. Annie Ninan, History Head Mr. Shabeermon. M, Mr. Faizal Tk, Union chairperson Ameena Meetheen spoke on the occasion. After the inauguration, Elocution Competition was held in the auditorium, followed by Quiz Competition and Exypnos Competition. 48 students from various colleges had participated in all the competitions. In the Quiz Competition, PSMO College Tirurangadi, Malappuram Govt. College and Department of History, University of Calicut won first, second and third respectively. In the Elocution competition, Students from HM Arts and Science College Manjeri, Unity Women’s College Manjeri and Department of Malayalam, University of Calicut bagged first, second and third respectively. Exypnos event was won by the students from HM Arts and Science College Manjeri and Unity Women’s College Manjeri. Principal in charge Dr. Zakir Ahamed gave away the trophies, cash Prize and certificates for the winners.

Science Day Celebration at Unity

          As part of Science Fair organized by the PG Department of Chemistry, KAHM Unity Women’s College Manjeri, the Department of History Exhibited two stall at the College on 25 and 26^th February 2019. The History stall at Auditorium was organized under the Department of History, University of Calicut. The other stall was prepared by the students of the History Department, KAHM Unity Women’s College at room number 36. Along with this, a workshop on HOW TO SET UP A MUSEUM is also conducted under the leadership of Dr. P Sivadasan, Associate Professor of History, and University of Calicut. Dr. Sivadasan shared his experiences on research and archaeological excavations at different places. He also spoke about the steps that one need to take while setting up a Heritage Museum. Mr. Haridas, research Scholar, University of Calicut, and Department Head Mr.Shabeermon. M and Association secretary Seenath spoke on the occasion. Few research scholars from university of Calicut were also attended the programme. Staffs and Students from various schools from Manjeri municipality visited the college on the day.
